Dimitri Schenker
was born in Moscow. He studied classical clarinet in Moscow and Dusseldorf. He graduated with honors. This was followed by the concert exam in the class of Prof. Ulf Rodenhäuser at the Robert-Schumann-Musikhochschule in Düsseldorf. As an orchestral musician, Dimitri Schenker u. a. at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival, at the Klassischer Philharmonie Bonn, JPK, Kölner Kammeroper, at the Rheinische Philharmonie in Koblenz, at the Meininger Theater and other German cultural orchestras. He was a scholarship holder of the “Villa Musica” foundation and worked with the renowned artists from the the whole world. Dimitri Schenker is a clarinet teacher at the Music School of Leverkusen and at the Clara Schumann Music School in Düsseldorf. He is u.a. Co-founder of the ensemble The-Klezmer-Tunes and the ensemble Rhine River Classics.
